It is the mission of the Extreme Drag Race Event to bring value-added high energy motorsports events to select communities across North America. We strive to partner with the event host community as well as industry at various levels in an effort to enhance awareness of area tourism and our marketing partners before, during and after the event.
The Extreme Drag Race in partnership with RPM Magazine, event marketing partners and supporters, offer the Extreme Motorsports Events as an exciting form of family entertainment. The EDR and RPM also provide valuable insight and education to youth regarding the dangers and consequences of illegal racing versus the benefits and rewards of organized motorsports when undertaken in a professionally monitored, safe and controlled environment.

RPM Magazine (www.rpm-mag.com), an International Motorsports Publication, published in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, has been a leading source of news and event coverage for niche Motorsports Enthusiasts around the world since 1998. The RPM Magazine focus is on the Performance Automobile and Hotrod industry of the past and present and how they pertain to Motorsports in a safe and controlled environment- the “Racetrack” or “Dragstrip”.
RPM is a family owned and operated company with over 20,000 readers monthly in 14 countries, along with photojournalists and support staff in 4 countries.
As a former insurance investigator, RPM Magazine Editor and Extreme Drag Race Event Director, Chris Biro, had experienced the issue and end result of “excessive speed” and “street racing” first-hand through his claims investigation duties. Through RPM Magazine and the CFSC Extreme Event (now heading to Eastern Canada for 2008) he is able to promote professional organized motorsports as an exciting form of family entertainment and in the process help prevent dangerous illegal racing activities.
RPM continues to work with various Communities, Police Forces and Schools across Canada and USA, driving home the message of “Race The Track Not The Street”. Through our “Extreme Drag Race” International motorsports event (www.cfscshootout.com, formerly held in Ontario for the past 5 years), we showcase over 250 competitors at the top of the sport of Drag Racing, and encourage interaction with the various communities, and youth of those communities, that host our event.
For 2008 the “Extreme Drag Race”, Canada’s only National Event for this form of Motorsports, will be held in Miramichi, New Brunswick. “The entire Atlantic Canada community has been very welcoming and supportive of these plans for 2008”, explains Biro. “This event has fast become an international show, and now has confirmed entries from across Canada, and USA as well as England and Australia (which will require overseas shipping of their vehicles to compete). We are very excited to say the least.”
This event and sport as a whole is continually complimented by various marketing partners, sponsors, as well as print media attention and television coverage at International, National and Local levels. We would like to again extend an invitation to industry, along with the Canadian and International Media to join us in helping spread this very important message.
